Diablo celebrates with two new colors
Are you looking for something new to add that extra touch to your home? We have a tip – Diablo is celebrating its 15th anniversary! To commemorate this, we have introduced two brand new colors. But before we tell you about the new colors, let us share the thoughts and inspiration behind Diablo from our designer, Joakim Fihn.
Joakim has been part of the Belid family for over 16 years and is the mastermind behind the Diablo lamp. He shares that its timeless design has made it a beloved classic. Diablo was born from the idea of creating a luminous artwork in metal, where the shades would create an illusion of floating in a sea of light. Diablo would also be completely glare-free and emit a soft ambient light. The result was a pendant with a embracing shape that reveals a detailed illuminated core, intended to spark curiosity in the viewer.
Why Diablo?
The name Diablo was chosen for its bold and unique design, as well as the powerful color scheme in matte black/glossy red, which truly highlighted the lamp as a strong and eye-catching product.
During the development process, we faced technical challenges, especially when it came to adjusting the light distribution and the distance between the shades. Nevertheless, the result was a luminaire that balances form and function beautifully.
What will be your favorite?
Now let's focus on why Diablo is in the spotlight right now: the new colors. Perhaps you prefer the deep Forest Green, inspired by moss-covered rocks and the tranquility of lush deep forests? Or maybe the elegant combination of Matte White/Rosé, reminiscent of bright summer days by the sea, where the light dances over cliffs and seashells create a shimmering beauty in the sand?
Through these color options, we strive to integrate the calm and beauty of nature into our products. And to connect this to our hometown Varberg on the Swedish west coast where Diablo is manufactured. This is your chance to bring the beauty of nature into your home and let it shine with a feeling of harmony.
